The Audio Edition Nominated For Best Podcast At 2006 Weblog Awards

The final list of the nominees for the 2006 Weblog Awards (The Bloggies) have been announced… and to our total shock, The Movie Blog’s Audio Edition made it to the list thanks to you guys!
I’m blown away. On the final nominees list with us is my personal favorite podcast “This Week In Tech” (also known as TWIT), “Girlspoke“, “Indie Interviews“, and “MobyLives“. We are extremely honored to be in their midsts.
So here’s what YOU do now. The voting is open over at the official 2006 Weblog Awards website. Head on over there an vote! Oh yeah… remember all that nice stuff I said about the other podcasts on the list? Well forget all that… screw them! Vote for The Audio Edition!
But seriously folks, thank you soooo much to those of you who took the time and nominated us in the first place. it means a lot to us, and reminds us why we love doing the show. Now, we don’t really have a chance in hell against TWIT (who have like 10 million listeners), but man… just to be mentioned with them is cool. Thanks again. now go vote!

Congrats on that. The shows over the last couple of months have been great. The top ten films of all time was a particular favourite and Doug’s rants about the death of Chewie was very funny.
Just don’t bring back that stuff about the goats.
Congrats guys… from what I understand it’s not easy to crack these awards so it really is quite an accomplishment just to get nominated.
My repeated voting worked then, superb, now all I have to do is get my chimp army to work doubly hard to get you guys the Number 1 position.
Btw where did the audio edition for Friday go? :P
I hope we get our full quota of shows this week; it’s turned into a really bad addiction for me.

I am one of those who casted my nomination for the audio edition (and also the Best Entertainment blog) even if I dont get to listen to it on a regular basis, either way, I hope you guys get a lot of the votes and eventually win!

Congrats boys! By the way… How many listeners would you estimate you have? (Just curious how you know TWIT has 10 mil - or was that just a random number meaning “a lot”?)
Keep up the good work, becuase its always fun listening to you guys. My fave from last week… When Doug ranted and wanted to call you on the fact that you really didn’t like “Tristan & Isolde” by giving it a 5.5 out of 10. (A 55 in any school is an ‘F’. A HIGH ‘F’, but an F none the less!!!) Nothing like a good retarded kid analogy to make your point! Hilarious Doug!
