Scream 4 for Neve Campbell
Unfortunately I missed Neve Campbell’s first nude scene in the movie When will I be loved? at the Edinburgh Film Festival this year, however that pales into insignificance if this rumour comes to fruition…another Scream?
Talking to IconsofFright, Wes Craven, director of Ghostface’s first three outings, announced that star Neve Campbell has had discussions with the studio about a “Scream 4″.
According to Craven, the Weinsteins might be keen on pitting Sidney Prescott against the masked maniac again and have sounded out Campbell, whose about as busy as a burger barn at Easter these days, to see if she’s keen.
From the sounds of it, and as he himself hasn’t been contacted about it yet, Craven won’t be involved in the film.
I have to say that I saw the Scream series repeated on telly a little while ago and I was surprised at how much fun they actually are. Perhaps they’ve been helped by all the parodies made of them, but they just seemed a lot better than they had when I first saw them, particularly the later movies. So is it a bad thing that they’re looking at another? Crazy in one aspect if you think about the plot line carrying on to a fourth series of attacks and murderer(s), but then they are fun…aren’t they?

The first Scream movie was brilliant ! It’s still one of my favourite movie : fun and horror and fun… :)

I truly like Scream 1 & 2, the 3rd felt too tired for me. Now they want to make a 4th? Why?? The 3rd one tied up the whole trilogy, so what can you possibly reach for? Some psycho wanting to copy cat the crimes and decides to go after Sidney? Or maybe Sid finally has a mental break down because she can’t get rid of the nightmares and becomes the killer herself! Hell, maybe she can do it while she’s sleep walking….yea…she’s dreaming of the murders while she’s actually doing them! hahahaha - Please movie gods I beg you - let this be a rumor!

I predicted the “Sydney becomes her nightmare” angle for the 3rd. I was wrong. I kinda hoped they would because her character is so tortured already. She can’t possibly hold it together if there was ANOTHER stream of murders around her.
Out of all the horror flicks out there, I think SCREAM really portrayed the victimized Sydney better than any other re-occuring character in a horror series.
She has to snap.

I hope there will be a Scream 4! I’ve been waiting for one for about..5 years, since Scream 3. I’d go see it a few times in the theatre and then have a Scream party when it comes out on DVD!! I think with the technology and special effects that we have now, a Scream 4 could be amazing. How it would go, I dont know but I know that it would be awesome. Maybe Billy had a son that is now like, 6, and he’s sick and twisted or something, or one of his parents or siblings or something? Who knows or cares but it’d be awesome!

I never liked sequels but i just started watching scream series.I think they are excellent!I didn’t think 2 and 3 were going to be that good. As good as the movies are going I think there should be anothe one! The actors are great! If there is going to be another one I think it will be succsesful! They are all good so far , let’s see how good this one will be!
