The Passion of the Christ was an accurate portrayal of the last hours of Jesus. All of the individuals who were against this film from the get go are all wrong period. Religious leaders today are just like the one’s during Jesus time. Same corruption and evil that was exibited then is exhibited today in the so-called church. Religion can not and will never get anyone into Heaven. Jesus is the only way.

I was privileged to see an advance showing of this incredible film. My knees buckled as I watched what Jesus suffered through for my personal salvation. Dear God, thank you so much for bestowing your son as a gift of salvation to the world. In Jesus name, Amen.

The Passion of the Christ shall be a call of renewal to wayward Christians who have forgotten the sacrifice made by our Lord Jesus on the cross. Those that choose to undercut Mr. Gibson and denegrate the beauty of his gift to the world have dipped their cup into the pool of anti-Christian venom that his nourished the enemies of Christiandom for the last two thousand years.

It is shocking to see Jews like those from the Wiesenthal center join the chorus against Mr. Gibson. All bigots, whether anti-semetic or anti-Christian must be spat upon when blessings like The Passion of the Christ are given to the world.

I think the controversy has actually helped Mel to get the word out to more people. What an awesome undertaking, and another David against Goliath win. Thank God, literally, for his courage and zeal.

There is info on the official “The Passion of The Christ” movie websites http://www.thepassionofchrist.com and http://www.passion-movie.com
that indicates the movie will have a very large release. One multiplex in Dallas, TX plans to show it in all 20 of its theaters. The sites have lots of info for those interested. Even exposes the “controversy.”

After enough domestic pressure, Mel decided on the sub-titles sometime last year.

Originally, I think he was intent on having it as “pure” as possible, so the sub-titles weren’t going to be there - so as to give it an “we actually caught those hours on tape” feel.

I guess when he noticed how much wide appeal it had, he decided to put them in.

I’m just curious if this would officially be considered a foreign film or not.

Hey… I thought there was supposed to be no subtitles in this movie. At least, the orginal idea was to have it pure Latin, no subtitles, wasn’t it?
