Meet the Fockers with Hoffman and Streisand
Meet the Parents was the film that made me take notice of Ben Stiller. Since then I’ve become a huge fan of “most” of his work. Now the sequel “Meet the Fockers” is set to start filming next month and be release around Christmas time.
This time around it looks like Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand are going to be playing Stiller’s parents. Apparently the movie will focus on the dynamic between the two sets of parents. I’m really looking forward to this one!

This film actually sounds like it could be quite good. De Niro and Hoffman where funny together in Wag the Dog and fed of each other well. Ben Stiler has made some good (and equally) some bad films (who hasnt?) but is generally very funny. I guess Streisand is going to play an uptight mother off some kind. She hasnt done a film for a while, and I dont know how many comedy films she has ever done so I wonder how she will cope. Wonder how everyone on the film will cope with both De Niro and Hoffman who are both notoriously methodical and fastidious in their approach

I am quite excited about Streisand coming back to the big screen. I am a fan and believe that this will be interesting but, “will many want to see it?” is the big question. Now she can be formally known as “the Mother Focker”, which isn’t very alluring. Maybe she will prove everyone wrong with this role. I have seen her comedic talent and I am delighted to see what she can do with this one. Many people don’t see how incredible she is. And for most of her political arguments SHE IS RIGHT. Good Luck Barbra!

ALL OF THE CONTROVERSY SURROUNDING THE CASTING OF BARBRA STREISAND IS A LITTLE BAFFLING TO ME-SHE WAS THE BIGGEST FEMALE STAR IN THE WORLD FOR 10 YEARS AND IS RESPECTED AS A PROFFESSIONAL ON EVERY LEVEL-HER STATS IN SHOW BUSINESS ARE WITHOUT PEER. NO NEED TO WORRY-I’M SURE SHE KNOWS WHERE TO TAKE THIS CHARACTER OR SHE WOULD NOT HAVE SIGNED, NOT TO MENTION DENIRO AND HOFFMAN’S CONSIDERABLE TALENTS FOR BEING WITH THE RIGHT MIX OF TALENT!

Barbra Streisand…are you kidding me? YUK. Would rather see ANYBODY else in what looked to be a great movie. Won’t waste a dime in the theatre or even rental fees to see her in anything.

I can’t wait to see this movie. What a cast! I’ve seen many of Barbra Streisand’s earlier films, and she has great comic timing - for example ‘What’s Up Doc?’ and ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’. She’s a very talented actress who hasn’t in my opinion, done enough films of this light-hearted, fabulously entertaining genre. Just forget your personal reaction to the legend (though mine is positive) and enjoy the talent. I am!

The casting of Hoffman, DeNiro and Streisand was inspired. I’m not gonna miss this one, because I want to see what happens between all these heavyweight talents. As someone so wittingly has said” “Now Streisand can officially be know as “The Mother Focker.” FUNNY!~

I saw this movie for two reasons. 1) I liked the first one so I was looking forward to the sequel, 2) I am a big fan of Barbra Streisand, both as a singer and an actress.
I enjoyed it and dont care if people think it was silly, its a comedy, what were they expecting?
What’s next, “Little Fockers”? LOL
