Return of the King Trailer

— Posted by John Campea

For those of you who want to see the new trailer for Return of the King, the third and final installment in the Lord of the Rings Trillogy on the big screen MSN tells us this:

New Line Cinema announced Tuesday it is debuting the first theatrical trailer for “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” this weekend exclusively before showings of the family comedy, Secondhand Lions which stars Haley Joel Osment as a young boy raised by two eccentric uncles, played by Michael Caine and Robert Duvall.

Of course this coming Monday the very same trailer will be made available on their Official Website . Placing trailers for highly anticipated films before minor features has helped ticket sales in the past. The Star Wars: The Phantom Menace announced its trailer would be played before Wing Commander and made it #1 that weekend. Of course Wing Commander was a total waste of time and dropped off the top 10 the following week.

Apparently, there was no real ties with Lucasfilm and Wing Commander.. (http://www.starwars.com/episode-i/news/1999/03/news19990308.html) — so why it so consistently
got placed in front of the piece of crap is beyond me. — They already knew it would create a bussle - as it did with “Meet Joe Black” the previous November. Oh well. Once again, morons getting paid millions of dollars to figure out what the general public knows for free.
